Victoria Lu is an Asian-Australian writer. Originally from Sydney’s south-west, she currently splits her time between Sydney and LA where her action/thriller/noir series, ROUGE, is in development after winning Scriptation’s Best Teleplay Award. Her period miniseries, TEAHOUSE, was recently developed with Screen Australia and her action short, IN DANDENONG, was developed with ABC Fresh funding. Victoria is also on the writing team for FLIC FLAC, an animated children’s series developed with Screen Australia.
In addition to TV writing, Victoria has contributed to podcasts, including sci-fi anthology series, (UN)LIKEMINDED and comedy news podcast, A RATIONAL FEAR.
A graduate of the AFI Conservatory with an MFA in Screenwriting, Victoria has worked in development at such companies as 1Community, Buzzfeed Studios, Esmail Corp, and AGBO. Before becoming a screenwriter, Victoria built rich life experience in fields such as Advertising in New York City, Business Consulting in Beijing, and Hospitality in London.
Victoria writes with a focus on power and identity.
