Terence O’Connell has had a formidable career as one of Australia’s most creative and commercially successful theatre directors. He has a wealth of experience across a variety of genres and broke new ground during his early work with Circus Oz, Flying Fruit Fly Circus and several record-breaking cabaret shows at Melbourne’s Last Laugh. Terence’s acclaimed Minefields And Miniskirts played to standing ovations at the Malthouse Theatre and a national tour in 2005. Terence recently directed Barmaids for Hit Productions and Metro Street for the Adelaide Cabaret Festival. His work in musicals includes Darlinghurst Nights (Sydney Theatre Company), The Rocky Horror Show, Buddy (Australia/New Zealand national tours), as well as They’re Playing Our Song, The Pajama Game and Oklahoma for The Production Company. Other credits include Bouncers, Steven Berkoff’s Decadence, Certified Male, Crossing The Line, Kissing Frogs, Steaming and The Secret Diary Of Adrian Mole. For singer Wendy Stapleton, Terence created the long running hit I Only Want To Be With You - The Dusty Springfield Story. |
