As well as being one of the country’s most sought-after actors, Rhys McConnochie’s impressive career as a theatre director spans four decades with productions in Australia, UK and New Zealand. In Australia he has directed for Black Swan, Ensemble, Sydney Theatre Company, Melbourne Theatre Company and Griffin. In 2004, he directed the national touring production of The Gin Game for Hit Productions, starring Terry Norris and Julia Blake. Since 1990, Rhys has directed numerous student productions for Australia’s leading actor training schools including Victorian College for the Arts, Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts and National Institute of Dramatic Art. |
