Peter Casey is one of Australia’s most versatile Musical Directors, with a career spanning music theatre, arena presentations, symphonic concerts, orchestration, television and recording. His extensive list of credits as Musical Director on Australian productions include Spamalot, The Wizard of Oz, The Sound of Music, Les Miserables, The King and I, Chicago, Cabaret, Evita, Aspects of Love, Jesus Christ Superstar, and The Production Company’s Sunset Boulevard, The Pajama Game, 42nd Street and Mame. He won a 2004 Green Room award for his musical direction of The Producers. In 1998, Peter was Musical Director for the landmark arena production The Main Event, starring John Farnham, Olivia Newton-John and Anthony Warlow. Peter has worked extensively in South East Asia, co-composing and orchestrating several musical productions, operas, film scores and recordings in Singapore and Korea. He was Musical Director for Channel 7 for several years and has been guest conductor for the West Australian and Adelaide Symphony Orchestras.
