Based in Los Angeles, film writer and director Dan Castle made waves across the world with his breakthrough feature Newcastle, which had its world premiere at the 2008 Tribeca Film Festival. His 2005 documentary Zona Rosa screened at prominent film festivals in New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Sydney. Dan’s 35mm short film The Visitor (2002), starring Barry Otto, has also screened at festivals around the world. It was nominated for the 2003 AFI Best Short award and won the Best Fiction Short and Best Screenplay awards at the St Kilda Film Festival.
